Implementation of cataloging work:
Creating bibliographic records for printed and electronic resources;
Forming and updating an electronic catalog;
Compiling bibliographic descriptions in accordance with current standards.
Systematization and indexing of literature:
Classification of resources by subject areas;
Issuing indexes based on library and bibliographic classification systems;
Identifying subject headings and keywords.
Work with electronic information resources:
Accounting for electronic publications and databases;
Cataloging them and making them accessible to users.
Analysis of the composition of the fund:
Study of their suitability for the needs of the educational process and scientific research;
Identification of outdated or unused literature and preparation of proposals for its removal from the fund.
Work on the basis of regulatory documents:
Compliance with the requirements of library standards, classification tables and bibliographic rules;
Preparation of reports and statistical data.
Cooperation with other departments of the IRC:
Development of the fund based on user requirements;
Ensuring the effective operation of catalog and information search systems.
