A roundtable discussion was organized at the Information Resource Center on the topic "Books are our friends!"

The main goal of the event was to develop a reading culture among young people, to strengthen their spiritual and moral qualities through books. During the roundtable discussion, the head of the Department of Scientific Methodological Information (Periodic Publications) of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan M. Bakiyeva and the 1st category librarian Q. Madrakhimova discussed the importance of reading books in enriching human thinking, speech culture and worldview. The possibilities of e-books and audiobooks in the modern era were also discussed. Students actively participated, sharing the works of Chingiz Aitmatov, which they loved to read, the lessons they learned from them and their life conclusions. The event was held in the spirit of lively questions and answers ❓ and sincere conversations.
